2010 FIFA World Cup Final

The draw for the 2010 World Cup, held December 4, 2009, placed Germany in Group D along with Australia, Serbia and Ghana. Throughout the tournament, Germany impressed by the play attractive, attacking style of football. On June 13, 2010, they played their first game of the tournament against Australia and won 4-0. They lost their second game 0-1 to Serbia. Their next game against Ghana won 1-0 on a goal by Mesut Ozil. Germany won the group and advanced to the knockout phase. In the round of 16, Germany humiliated England 4-1. At 2-1, however, had played so controversial a goal by Frank Lampard aside, despite a video that showed the ball beyond the goal line.

In the quarter-finals, Argentina, Germany won 4-0, the match was also celebrated striker Miroslav Klose celebrates his 100th international and tied the game with the record of German legend Gerd Muller of 14 World Cup goals, one behind all-time goals record 15 World Cup of the war, which is owned by Ronaldo in Brazil. In the semi-final on July 7, Germany lost 1-0 to Spain. Germany plays Uruguay in the third position, as in 1970, and won the match 3-2, July 10.
