Germany captain Michael Ballack has been abandoned by the national coach Joachim Loew for Euro 2012 next month.
Name midifelder 33-year-old was conspicuous by its absence Loew team released Friday games against Belgium in Brussels on 3 Azerbaijan in Cologne in September and four days later.
Ballack is still working his way back to fitness after suffering an ankle injury in May, which excludes the World Championships last month.
Loew said in a statement: "Michael is the right path after his injury, and everyone is happy with the healing process is important is that he finds his best form in Leverkusen .."

Philipp Lahm with Ballack absent defender is likely to retain the captaincy that led Germany to third at the World Cup.
Loew was in Dortmund on Sunday to see Ballack make his first appearance in the Bundesliga after four years of the Premier League with Chelsea as Bayer Leverkusen won 2-0 Borussia Dortmund.
After his injury, Ballack will return to training in early August and has only played one league and the Europa League.
As expected Loew has named 17 members of his team's World Cup.
Out of contention are the injured Arne Friedrich, Jerome Boateng, Piotr Trochowski and Dennis Aogo, but returned after missing the World Cup goalkeeper Rene Adler is the defender Heiko Westermann and.
Pending the two Euro 2012 qualifiers Loew said: "We want to win our first two games of football with the same, we played the World Cup."
