Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes has not regretted his decision to rest a number of first team regulars in the team's 6-0 victory at home DFB Pokal Ingolstadt on Wednesday night.
"I sent a number of players who have not had much playing time recently. After 90 minutes we've seen, I can say it was worth it," Heynckes said in a press conference after the game.
"The first half is a bit 'bumpy. Our build-up play, the game was pedestrian, and let the opponent's defensive line to the park. When we were 3-0 after a break, has been compared to the competition . After making some moves of power, and our past was much safer.
Players such as Manuel Neuer, Philipp Lahm, Franck Ribery and Mario Gomez have been left out of the Allianz Arena, but their replacement Heynckes impressed with their performances.

Bayern Munich Bundesliga action resumes on Saturday with a home game against Nuremberg.
