Qualification, And Final Playoff
Contested every four years, the UEFA European Championship presents some of the best talent since its inception as the UEFA European Nations Cup in 1960. It consists of a competition to meet, play-offs, and the last tournament.
The qualifying round consists of nine groups of five or six teams that challenge at home and away games. Winners and runners-section with the best record against the top five in his group of automatic promotion. The other eight second place in competition with both legs with the winners qualifying to join the army to complete the range of the final tournament.
UEFA EURO 2012 will be the last final of 16 teams before the tournament is extended to 24 teams in 2016. The classification is divided into four groups, with the top two moving on to the quarterfinals when it becomes a knockout competition, with overtime and penalty kicks to determine the winner, if necessary.
Settlement
The regulations for the European Championships are set by the UEFA Administration before being submitted to the Committee UEFA National Team Competitions. They are then forwarded for approval by the committee of UEFA Executive Committee for ratification
